The leather used in this product comes from a tannery audited and certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), which is the highest environmental standard in terms of leather tanning. This standard requires tanneries to reduce their water and energy consumption, as well as their use of potentially hazardous substances. The tanneries we work with are located in Europe and are committed partners who work with us in our efforts for responsible sourcing and continuous improvement (implementation of material traceability systems, fighting against deforestation practices).
To preserve the beauty of your Louis Vuitton product for years to come, we recommend following these instructions for its care:
- Raffia’s irregular texture is part of the fiber’s natural charm; it also highlights the special savoir-faire required to weave it. The uneven surface is not a flaw, but a natural feature of the material, a witness to its journey through time. Woven raffia should be treated with care. Because the material may alter slightly over time, it is recommended to avoid repeated rubbing. Should the piece become soiled, clean the raffia gently with a soft, damp, light-colored cloth. Never use solvents on raffia. Dry the piece immediately with a soft, dry cloth so that the raffia fibers do not absorb water and swell. Finally, if your piece comes into contact with corrosives such as sand or salt, clean it gently with a soft-bristled brush.
- Avoid contact with hand cream, hand sanitizer, make-up and perfume.
- When not in use, store the item in the dust bag provided with your purchase. Do not store in high temperatures, high humidity or unventilated areas.
Taking proper care of your Louis Vuitton product will allow you to fully appreciate its beauty for many years.
