In the work of artist and iconographer Alexandre Furcolin, painting, drawing and photography marry in a magma of bright colors and intertwined lines. His visual oeuvre is a sensual, multifaceted diary which welcomes metamorphosis and the beauty of new languages. To him, São Paulo is an obsession, an aphrodisiac, a rebelliously beautiful stranger. Born in 1988, Alexandre Furcolin has lived in São Paulo since he was 17. He expresses himself through photography, painting, drawing, videos and installations, bringing into dialogue city and nature, the wild and the sophisticated, the personal and the social, in a vast panorama capturing the beauty and chaos that surround him. Alexandre Furcolin is the author of several books and a frequent contributor to fashion magazines, including the Brazilian editions of Vogue and L’Officiel as well as Under Pressure. Inspired by the House's travel heritage, the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye collection evokes cities, regions or countries through the eyes of fashion photographers, from emerging talents to industry legends. Each title in the series features an extensive selection of large-format photographs, together with biographical information and an interview with the photographer or a critical essay.
