• LOUIS VUITTON FOR UNICEF: SILVER LOCKIT COLOUR

As part of its LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF partnership, Louis Vuitton launches on June 21st in stores and louisvuitton.com its third edition of the Silver Lockit Colour bracelet for the summer.

By purchasing the Silver Lockit Colour, clients have the opportunity to support UNICEF, contributing to efforts for children in vulnerable situations, such as in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, where UNICEF has deployed the ressources to help the children who are present in these zones devastated by the two cyclones. For example, these last weeks, over 540 000 children have received lifesaving vaccination - including against measles which is deadly when children are already ill or malnourished.

Since the launch of the Silver Lockit in 2016, the partnership has raised over seven million euros for UNICEF.

The Silver Lockit, inspired by the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients’ most precious belongings, is a symbol of protection. It was chosen as a symbol of sealing one’s promise to help children at risk. The Silver Lockit Colour retails at USD 250, USD 100 of which is donated to UNICEF.

  • UNVEILING OF THE RIDERS OF THE KNIGHTS IN PRAGUE

This year, Louis Vuitton premiered the new High Jewellery Collection ‘Riders of the Knights’ at an exclusive preview event at the historic Prague Castle.

After Capri, Saint-Tropez, Hawaii, and Rome, Prague was chosen as this year’s destination for Louis Vuitton to unveil the latest High Jewellery Collection. Continuing a tradition of offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences that immerse guests in the Collection’s inspiration, the Maison chose the Prague Castle to premiere the exceptional news pieces that make up the Riders of the Knights Collection. A historical landmark and UNESCO monument, the Prague Castle consists of palaces and ecclesiastical buildings of various architectural styles, from the Romanesque to the Gothic. This architecture provides an appropriate backdrop for the Riders of the Knights Collection, which pays tribute to heroines from medieval times and achieves an immersive aesthetic drawing from medieval codes of chivalry and heraldic crests.

  • MEDIEVAL HEROINES, RIDERS OF THE KNIGHTS

With this new High Jewellery Collection, Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the powerful vision that impelled so many medieval heroines to forge their own destiny.

Medieval heroines, as embodiments of the values of determination and independence, served as inspiration for Louis Vuitton's new High Jewellery Collection: Riders of the Knights. The over fifty pieces tell stories of women who make their mark on the world they inhabit and shape their own fate.  This new Collection achieves an immersive aesthetic drawn from medieval codes of chivalry and heraldic crests.

Glittering gems and diamonds create a luminous choreography on "Le Royaume", "La Cavalière", "La Reine", and "L'Intuition" necklaces, rings, earrings and more. A wealth of details distinguishes this new opus, attesting to such virtuosity as only the most accomplished jewelers possess. Each of these figurative pieces tells a story where Louis Vuitton's many creative facets find expression - whether it is in the architectural simplicity of a fortress, the luminescent transience of intuition, or the protective aura of a talisman.

Louis Vuitton unveils a new High Jewellery Collection inspired by the heroines of medieval times.

Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the powerful vision that impelled so many medieval heroines to transcend their limitations and forge their own destiny. In homage to them, the Maison conjured a collection of High Jewellery pieces full of light to express the inner radiance of those who wear them. Glittering gems and diamonds radiate in this initial collection of fifty exceptional pieces that achieve an immersive aesthetic drawn from medieval codes of chivalry and heraldic crests.

The Royaume choker is distinguished by its shape inspired by the gorget - a special piece of armor designed to protect the throat - and is remarkable for its richly vibrant royal blue sapphire set against a delicate mesh of over a thousand diamonds. The Cavalière necklace showcases spinel, a precious gem with a deep red color infused with flashes or orange and symbolizing ardor and courage. On the Reine necklace, nine dazzling aquamarines of a Santa Maria-like blue evoke the magnificence of dynastic jewels and sovereign power. Each of these figurative pieces tells a story where the Maison's many creative facets find expression, whether in the architectural simplicity of the fortress, the luminescent transience of intuition, or the protective aura of a talisman.
