• VIRGIL ABLOH NEW MEN'S ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Louis Vuitton is delighted to welcome Virgil Abloh as its new Men's Artistic Director. His first show for Louis Vuitton will take place in June during Men's Fashion Week in Paris.

    "It is an honour for me to accept the position of Men’s Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton. I find the heritage and creative integrity of the House are key inspirations and will look to reference them both while drawing parallels to modern times." stated Virgil Abloh.

    Virgil Abloh Biography

    Born in Rockford, Illinois in 1980, Virgil Abloh is an artist, architect, engineer, creative director, and designer. After earning a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison, he completed a Master´s Degree in Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology in a curriculum founded by Mies van der Rohe. It was here that he learned not only about modernist design principles but also about the concept of multi-disciplinary working.

    Virgil Abloh’s brand Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh™ was started in 2012 as an artwork titled "PYREX VISION." In 2013, the brand premiered a seasonal men's and women's fashion label showing runway collections during Paris Fashion Week since 2015.

    Abloh has also presented his work at major design institutions around the globe by the likes of Harvard Graduate School of Design, Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and the Rhode Island School of Design.

    In 2019 he will have a major exhibition of past and current work at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, Illinois.

    In 2015, Virgil Abloh for Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh™ is among the finalists of the LVMH Prize.

    He has been awarded various prizes, most recently winning the British Fashion Awards Urban Luxe award and International Designer of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2017.

    In its latest advertising campaign, Louis Vuitton descends into the Californian desert.


    Set in a spectacular landscape that blends raw space and travel, actress Emma Stone, the Louis Vuitton woman and House's new muse, is photographed by Craig McDean.
    The quest for freedom and adventure in faraway places - this is Louis Vuitton’s spirit of travel.

    "I am very happy and proud to be working with a House as passionate as Louis Vuitton, as well as with the unique style and creations of Nicolas Ghesquière,” says Emma Stone.

    The first Louis Vuitton campaign featuring Emma Stone showcases the actress wearing pieces from the Pre-fall 2018 collection and embodying a heroine who is daring, confident and always on the move.  

    This Travel campaign highlights the Capucines bags: a signature of discreet elegance, Capucines represents the spirit of the House and its expertise in leather craftwork.

    In partnership with Chadstone - The Fashion Capital, discover a hand selected collection of objects and documents from the Louis Vuitton archives in Time Capsule Exhibition until 21 March only.

    Travelling from 1854 to the present days, visitors will embark on a journey that revisits landmark innovations on technology and design through the history of the luxury House. The story is told using rare and celebrated objects selected from the Louis Vuitton archives, with a strong local Australian representation, including a Michael Clarke Made-to-Order trunk and a Billie Achiellleos kangaroo.

    Highlighting the ongoing technical innovations that Louis Vuitton employed to respond to the revolutionary inventions of the period, this exhibition builds a conversation between antique creations in direct dialogue with more contemporary pieces, showing a consistent desire of the brand to create and reinvent objects that are designed to anticipate the evolution of lifestyle needs and desires.

    Louis Vuitton invite visitors to explore a visual timeline of the most outstanding moments in the story of the Louis Vuitton Maison, telling the narrative through six key aspects: the Artisans Room, The Key to the Codes, Journeys around the World; Elegance in Motion, Icons of the House and the Magic Malle.
