Mobile, 2010 Plastic spheres and mat finishing Permanent Installation
Part of a series of installations entitled «Mobile», this sculpture displayed at the Fifth Avenue store in New York invites viewers to explore the notions of time and space.
Upon entering the room, visitors are immediately captivated by the installation’s three-dimensional shape. The contrast between the large purple spheres and thin beams creates a feeling of lightness and gives the illusion of a floating sculpture. While contemplating Xavier Veilhan’s artwork, discerning visitors will also notice the slight movement between the elements that compose the mobile, evoking the elusiveness and perpetual flow of time.
